Why are these the perfect oVertone shades for your Halloween looks?
I went with the Extreme Magenta Coloring Conditioner over the Red For Brown Hair Coloring Conditioner to give some extra vibrancy to my hair for this fall and especially for Halloween!
Did you bleach before using oVertone?
I did have my ends lightened last December and then a touch up every 6 months to maintain the ombre effect.
Tell us about your haircare routine!
Usually I will only wash my hair up to 2 times a week at most. I start with a pre-shampoo mask from scalp to ends for added moisture before shampooing. It really balances out my sensitive, itchy scalp.
What’s the inspiration for your costume/look?
I adore cute little imaginary pixie elves, folklore characters, and stories in general. I knew I wanted to pair a whimsical flower crown with some pointed ears, a fluffy skirt, and have my bright hair match that aesthetic.
How did oVertone enhance your Halloween look?
oVertone is truly great in that way because you can customize their colors to fit your particular needs. They’re also incredible to use since it’s not a big commitment like other hair color lines can be. They have down to earth neutral colors, pastels, and vibrant colors to fit any person’s desires for their hair during any season.
What custom combination did you create for this look?
I mixed some of my usual Red For Brown shade by oVertone with their Extreme Magenta!
How do you transition between shades?
I already had been using the Red For Brown hair shade and basically waited for it to fade out as much as possible before adding Extreme Magenta to complete my look. No color remover necessary!
Why not go with a wig?
Because it’s your own hair! No itchy wigs or fussing with it. Plus the added confidence knowing it’s your own hair is super cool too.
Is Your Hair Ready For Halloween?
Oh definitely, it’s a nice bonus to not have to stress over finding a realistic yet fun looking wig and investing in my own actual hair instead making it EXACTLY what I want.

What made you choose your specific oVertone shades?
I was looking to create different looks, but also wanted to keep my hair healthy.

My ends were already pre lightened. And so we’re the extensions.

What’s the inspiration for your costume/look?
I love just sitting around down and creating. I was inspired by different color schemes and aesthetics. I wanted to do something that I was passionate about creating.

I use a wig, and sometimes it’s so uncomfortable. I just want to let my hair out. I feel more comfortable being able to let my hair rest but allow it to be fun!
