How to Get Blush Blonde

Blush Blonde: not quite rose gold, not quite blonde, it’s a delicate application of the most pastel level pink over white blonde hair.  The slight touch of pink adds an amazing depth and definition to blonde hair, and well it’s giving us blush envy. Are you totally bitten by this bug?  We’ve laid out the recipes below to get this amazing subtle look on white blonde, blonde and medium blonde hair.

Things you’ll need:

1. Bleached hair.

2. Pastel Pink Daily Conditioner.

3. Your favorite white conditioner.

4. A mixing bowl.

Let’s get started!

1. Start with Daenerys Targaryen white-as-possible blinding-as-fresh-snow hair.  It cannot be white enough.

Got it?  Good.

2. Mix one part Pastel Pink Daily Conditioner to five parts white conditioner in your bowl until they’re completely combined.

3. Apply to your hair using your fingers.  You can apply it on the mid shaft, on the root, on the ends, or everywhere.  It’s totally up to you.  Check out our pinboard for inspo.  Wherever you apply color is where you’ll see it.

4. Wait one minute and rinse out.  Style your newly blushing hair however you like it and go kick ass.

1. Start with platinum blonde hair.  Get as much yellow out of that sucker as you can!  Tone with Pastel Purple Daily Conditioner to cancel out any yellow/orange tones. The less brassiness, the more pink toned and blushing you’ll be.

You primed and prepared?  Move along to step 2.

2. Mix one part Pastel Pink Daily Conditioner to two parts white conditioner in your bowl until they’re completely combined.

3. Apply to your hair using your fingers or a tint brush.  You can apply it on the mid shaft, on the root, on the ends, or everywhere.  It’s totally up to you.  Check out our pinboard for inspo.  Wherever you apply color is where you’ll see it.

4. Wait two minutes and rinse out – any less and you might look a little peachy, any more and your color will intensify.  Experiment to find your favorite result!  Get your style on and get out the door!

1. Start with medium blonde hair.  Any darker than a light honey color and your results might be nearly invisible!

Checked to make sure you’re light enough? Move along to Step 2.

2. Mix one part Pastel Pink Daily Conditioner to one part white conditioner in your bowl until they’re completely combined.

3. Apply to your hair using your fingers or a tint brush.  You can apply it on the mid shaft, on the root, on the ends, or everywhere.  It’s totally up to you.  Check out our pinboard for inspo.  Wherever you apply color is where you’ll see it.

4. Wait three minutes and rinse out.  Get stylin’ and enjoy that rosey blush.

Hi, thanks for the awesome blush blonde recipes! Is it best to apply the white conditioner/overtone conditioner combination on wet or dry hair?

Good afternoon, I have salt and pepper hair, more salt than pepper and would like to go lavender. I would like a light lavender since I work in the corporate world. what would you suggest?

Hi, so I want to do this to my hair but I should cancel out the yellows first and it says to tone out first with the pastel purple conditioner. Wouldn’t that leave my hair purple? Or is there a special step for toning ?

    Thank you
