If you’ve been looking for a uniquely warm and cool combination hair color, look no further than Chocolate Lilac. This effortlessly chic shade plays well with light brown starting colors, and adds natural-looking dimension to blonde-highlighted hair. We’re personally pretty big fans of not only this hair color trend, but also the look stylist Eva Lam (@evalam_) created using two of our favorite color choices.

To achieve this style, Lam custom blended Vibrant Purple and Espresso Brown with The Remedy for Fine Hair, using a higher ratio of Vibrant Purple to tone out the brassiness in the model’s light brunette base color. Lam then applied the mixture to the mid-lengths for 15 minutes, and applied to the more porous ends for the last 5 minutes.

If you’re looking to recreate this look at home, here’s how:
- Combine 2 parts Vibrant Purple Coloring Conditioner and 1 part Espresso Brown Coloring Conditioner with 2 parts The Remedy for Fine Hair (or, try 1 part Vibrant Purple Coloring Conditioner, 1 part Espresso Brown Daily Conditioner, and 1 part The Remedy for Fine Hair.)
- Evenly apply to dry hair thoroughly (gloves are optional, but help with staining)
- Let sit for 10-15 minutes (depending on hair porosity)
- Rinse in the shower until water runs clear
- Style as usual
Treat yourself to the sweetest Chocolate Lilac color you’ve ever seen by shopping these shades today.
