We are big lovers of vintage hairstyles around here. Victory rolls are one of the most popular, and really fun to play with. Two rolls is a classic style, but we’re going to switch it up today. Here’s our modern take – a super easy asymmetrical victory roll that you can pull off in 5 minutes.
Start with pre-curled hair. Big curls work just as well as smaller curls, as long as your hair has some body and a little flip at the ends.

Here are the tools you’ll need:
Step 1: Section Your Hair
Grab a section of hair in the shape of a rectangle that starts from either side of your forehead back about 1/3 to 1/2 way to the crown of your head. Clip the rest of your hair back, and brush out the ends of the victory roll section to form one integrated curl.
Step 2: Loop and Roll
Twist the end of the section in a tight loop the same way you would for a pin curl. Continue twisting the loop down toward your scalp until the hair forms an excellent victory roll. Don’t worry if it doesn’t look perfect the first time. It often take a few tries before the roll comes out looking good.
Step 3: Pin and Spray
Once you’ve got your roll in good shape, stick a bobby pin on the inside, starting from about half an inch from the edge so that the end of the bobby pin doesn’t show. Pin two or three more bobby pins in and around the roll until it is secure.
To finish things off, give it a liberal amount of hair spray. You are now ready for your pin up moment.
