Mix & Match
Magenta is the newest addition to our color collection, and it’s almost-iridescent pinkish-purple hue has quickly become a crowd favorite. While creating our most recent shades, we learned that Magenta is one of the most unique colors in existence due to the fact that you can’t actually see it on the color spectrum, you just perceive it. Because of these unusual features, Magenta also mixes surprisingly well with basically all of the existing oVertone shades, so feel free to get creative with custom blends.
Now that we’ve concluded the scientific portion of this post, let’s get down to why you’re really here: a how-to for mixing our Magenta shades. We combined Pastel Magenta with some of our favorite products to create two new shades for you to try — just make sure you strand test first!
Pastel Magenta Coloring Conditioner + plain white conditioner
Mix: 1 Part Pastel Magenta with 1 Part plain white conditioner
Apply: To dry, platinum hair for best results
Leave: For 10-15 minutes
Rinse: With warm/hot water
While Pastel Magenta Coloring Conditioner already makes your hair feel super soft and healthy, blend it with any plain white conditioner to slightly subdue the color and add extra hydration.
Pastel Magenta Coloring Conditioner + Pastel Purple Coloring Conditioner
Mix: 1 Part Pastel Magenta with 1 Part Pastel Purple
Apply: To dry, platinum hair for best results
Leave: For 10-15 minutes

You know those sunsets where the clouds look like cotton candy? That could be your hair when you combine Pastel Magenta and Pastel Purple, two of our sweetest Pastels.
Like we mentioned earlier, all of our three new Magenta shades combine well with most other colors, so feel free to experiment your way around the color wheel — find some inspo here.
